Chocolate is one of the most popular and yummiest types of foods that will likely stay at the top of most peoples’ favorite food lists. Chocolate is something most of us have grown up enjoying, but very few of us have taken the time to learn the many facts that are associated with Chocolate. There are actually hundreds of facts that are associated with Chocolate and Mount Lavinia Hotel took the initiative to educate Sri Lanka about the nutritional values of chocolate and the many ways that chocolate could be complemented with to make it the most interesting and something you literally will crave for.

“I probably have a little every day, because I think it makes you feel good when you get some.” Those are the words of a chocolate lover, when asked what are their premonitions on a chocolate covered month? Those sweet desires are not just imagined. Researchers have found that eating chocolate, the number one food craver, causes the brain to release endorphins, chemicals that make you feel good. So they took this chocolate sentiment and created a month to totally feel good with a little bit of Mount Lavinia Hotel’s unique initiative to churn out an unusual yet divine experience.

“There a few things more decadent than a warm pool of luscious chocolate. If you had agreed the Chocolate Mixology session followed by the Dinner extraordinaire with a SriLankan Holidays package which was out for grabs, then Valentine’s Day being celebrated with the Chocolate coated Jazz Sunday Brunch where 20 semiprecious stone studded chocolate desserts courtesy Vogue Jewellers were raffled away , did indeed whet anyone’s taste buds.

Thanks to the support of Vogue Jewellers, Kandos and SriLankan Holidays the Chocolate events were a resound success,” states Mr Anura Dewapura, General Manager Mount Lavinia Hotel.

Yes those candy bars sure taste good, but there’s a lot you probably didn’t know about chocolate! So wind up the month with the many interactive chocolate sessions at the Mount Lavinia Hotel and indulge in a sweet treat, literally a treat that cannot be missed…
