The Bollywood Food Festival, a major event in the calendar of MLH, drew a crowd on the opening night. The guests enjoyed an experience that was true to the culture, with smells and sounds of India in the background. 2nd to 13th June 2010 at the Imperial Room are the dates the Bollywood Food Festival will be on. And for a mere LKR1500/-nett a spread of authentic Indian dishes, stated below were some of the dishes:

The visitors enjoyed dazzling performances, Bollywood Music, Bhangra beats, and authentic food by the food experts led by Chef Ved Prakash who were flown down for the event from the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. North Indian food, South Indian are just a few regional spreads that will be on offer. “It is quite unique that we from the Imperial Hotel created our debut in Sri Lanka at the Imperial Room and we are proud to be in partnership with MLH for this event, “states Vinay Krishanan from the Imperial Hotel.
Also, the Indian market views Sri Lanka as a hub for destination weddings and already there is an influx of potential brides and grooms that are making Mount Lavinia Hotel their destination of choice, states Savio Mendonza, Sales Manager in charge of the Indian Market at Mount Lavinia Hotel.
